With more than three decades in the maritime and offshore sector, HI-TECH Elastomers Ltd. has positioned itself as one of the most specialized manufacturers of port solutions globally. From India, the company designs and manufactures rubber fenders, marine buoys, mooring equipment, and navigation aids that operate in highly demanding environments.
During their participation in SLOM 2025, Jay Soni, the company's director, and Vasu Dandanayak, its vice president, highlighted the technical focus and customer orientation that have characterized the brand's growth in markets as diverse as the Middle East, Asia, and, more recently, Latin America.
In an industry where every dock, terminal, or offshore structure has unique conditions, the ability to customize products becomes a critical factor. In this regard, Vasu explained that their products are completely tailor-made, as one part of the port may require a specific type of fender, while the other end may require a completely different solution.
HI-TECH has an in-house engineering team that analyzes each case in detail, from design to installation. It also has its own Research and Development center and testing laboratories that allow it to create new rubber technologies and absorption systems adapted to different marine environments.
When asked what his customers value most, Jay Soni was quick to point out three important aspects: quality, speed, and a good price. To meet these expectations, HI-TECH has structured its entire operation in a comprehensive manner, covering everything from the supply of raw materials to strict compliance with manufacturing deadlines.
For his part, Vasu Dandanayak emphasized that quality control is one of the pillars of the company. Materials are inspected before entering the plant and, if they do not meet internal standards, they are rejected. In addition, during the production process, each stage is verified by a specialized team, ensuring a reliable end result.
As a result of this operational discipline, HI-TECH products comply with international certifications, offer remarkable durability, and enable a significant reduction in operating costs within ports.

SLOM 2025 represents a strategic opportunity for HI-TECH, which is participating in this event for the third time, as it has proven to be a strategic platform for consolidating its presence in Latin America, thanks to the high level of interaction with regional operators. This has generated an excellent response and numerous inquiries from countries such as Brazil, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, according to Vasu.
The company identifies Latin America as a market with high potential, particularly in the development of port terminals, LNG infrastructure, and offshore operations. Therefore, it seeks to replicate in the region the successful model of customization, quality, and efficiency that it has already implemented in other geographies.
