Aeromine Technologies, a pioneer in rooftop wind power, has completed a funding round of approximately $9 million to accelerate the deployment of its innovative on-site wind power solution. This solution consists of a patented platform for capturing wind energy on the roofs of commercial buildings and unlike traditional wind farms, Aeromine’s units are installed on the edge of building roofs and have no moving parts or external blades.

How does Aeromine Technologies’ technology work?

These units capture wind flowing up and over the building, converting it into electricity on site. This allows owners of various types of buildings, from apartments to hospitals, to generate up to 100% of their energy on site.

Likewise, Aeromine’s technology employs aerodynamic principles similar to those of racing cars to capture and amplify airflow. With a typical installation of 20 to 40 units per building, the technology can operate 24 hours a day, providing a continuous source of energy.

Aeromine’s units are designed to operate stand-alone or integrate with existing solar panels, easily adapting to existing electrical infrastructures. Generate power on site eliminates interruptions due to grid instability or extreme weather conditions, ensuring a constant and reliable supply.

Global recognition for Aeromine

Since its launch in late 2022, Aeromine has received recognition in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and Fast Company and was named one of the top building products of 2023 by Building Design+ Construction.

On the other hand, Aeromine has received around 11,000 inquiries from more than 6,500 companies, managing a portfolio of 400 qualified projects in industrial, logistics, financial, automotive, commercial and government sectors, with equal interest from Europe and the US. and additionally from Asia Pacific, Latin America and Australia.

Wind energy: Aeromine receives financial backing

Veriten, an energy research and strategy firm, led the Series A financing round, with participation from global engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti and several family offices. Aeromine plans to use these funds to expand its reach through increased production and global market development.

Distributed energy is revolutionizing the way commercial and residential buildings manage their electricity consumption. With solutions such as Aeromine Aeromine’s solutions promote a more autonomous and resilient approach to grid variabilities, offering sustainable and cost-effective alternatives that contribute to global decarbonization.
