Vestas, the Danish company specialized in wind turbines, has obtained an order for 151 MW for several wind farms in Spain. The contract includes the delivery and installation of 26 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, 3 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines and 5 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines in 4.0 MW operating mode.
In addition to supply and installation, the contract also includes an Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement for a period of 15 years. Although the company has not revealed the names of the projects or the clients, the delivery of the wind turbines is expected to take place in the second half of 2024. The wind farms will be commissioned between the last quarter of 2024 and the first half of 2025.
Agustín Sánchez, who is the general director of Vestas for Spain and Portugal, expressed his satisfaction with the versatility of the company’s portfolio, which complies with the requirements of the Spanish network code. The aforementioned company manufactures the V136 blades at its factory in Daimiel (Ciudad Real) and has plans to manufacture V163 blades from the year 2024.
