The company Velesto Energy has strengthened its strategic presence in the energy sector after securing two multi-year contracts with Sabah Shell Petroleum Company (SSPC).

The award of integrated services and drilling with SSPC

This alliance focuses specifically on providing integrated maintenance services for high-tension vertical piping systems, technically known as top tensioned risers or TTRs. Operations will take place on the tension leg platform (TLP) owned by Shell, located off the coast of Sabah, Malaysia.

Through its subsidiary Velesto Workover and in direct collaboration with its parent company INVX Asia Pacific, the organization assumes critical responsibility for offshore asset integrity. The scope of work demonstrates the group’s technical capacity to manage complex infrastructure in deepwater locations. Furthermore, the execution of these services ensures the operational continuity of one of the region’s most important production structures.

Megat Zariman Abdul Rahim, President of Velesto, mentioned that this award reflects SSPC’s sustained confidence in the group’s capabilities. The executive noted that the primary focus remains on the safety and efficiency of offshore operations.

Furthermore, the integration of INVX Asia Pacific into the workflow ensures top-tier technical support to meet the challenges of moored floating platforms. The stability provided by these long-term contracts allows the company to project resilient growth in an increasingly demanding energy market. In this way, Velesto reaffirms its commitment to the development of the offshore industry in Southeast Asia.
