- Response times for support.
- Spare parts availability.
- Maintenance hours included.
- Performance levels to be met.

Vard technicians will provide remote support and training to the ships’ crews, so that the sailors can make essential repairs themselves during their long missions, without having to return to port. The agreement also ensures that Aker’s flagship, the Antarctic Endurance, which operates year-round in the Southern Ocean in extreme conditions of cold, ice and isolation, receives specialized care and continuous technical monitoring.
Why is this agreement important?
This agreement is specifically designed to minimize unplanned downtime for Aker QRILL Company and allow them to plan their fishing campaigns with the confidence that their vessels will be operational.
As Vard Electro’s vice president says, it’s not just a transaction, it’s a collaborative relationship. Vard becomes a technology partner of Aker, not just a vendor.
