Vanguard Mining has officially commenced its 2025 campaign diamond drilling program at the Redonda project, a 100% owned property located in the Vancouver mining region, approximately 40 kilometers from Campbell River, British Columbia.
Geophysical surveys for diamond drilling
The current strategy is based on data collected by Precision GeoSurveys in late 2024, including magnetometry, gradients and potassium radiometry. These tools have delineated zones of potassic alteration and structures with the potential to host porphyry-type mineralization. The locations selected for the new holes are intended to extend the discoveries made in 2023 and 2024, where mineralized intervals up to 174 meters from surface were identified.
To carry out this stage, the company has contracted Paradigm Drilling, which mobilized a Boyles T-75 hydraulic drilling rig on crawler tracks. This rig is prepared to reach depths of more than 600 meters with
The plan calls for drilling up to 10 platforms, with priority on brecciation zones and structural extensions oriented northeast-southwest. The company aims to validate the continuity of the system in a north-south and northwest direction, following old forest roads. Possible extensions under the Coastal Plutonic Complex and skarn zones in the east of Redonda Island, which could be part of a district-scale magmatic-hydrothermal system, will also be evaluated.
The initiative has current approvals, guaranteed funding and a progressive execution model. Vanguard will provide regular updates on the footage drilled and the results of the geochemical analyses.
