Valaris secures million-dollar contract with Shell to operate DS-8 vessel in Brazil

Valaris has confirmed the award of a new multi-year contract with Shell for the operation of the DS-8 vessel in Brazilian waters. This strategic alliance will focus on the development of the Orca project, located in the deepwater environment of the South American country.

The contract is scheduled to begin during the first quarter of 2027, and will last approximately 800 days. According to official information, the value of the agreement exceeds US$300 million and includes additional options that could extend the operation for up to one more year.
