Trendsetter Engineering has successfully completed the first deployment of its Trident 20K intervention system, a technology designed for high-pressure offshore operations. The deployment was performed from the Deepwater Atlas unit as part of the reflux operation between two wells on the Shenandoah project, run by Beacon Offshore Energy in the Gulf of America.
The first implementation of the Trident 20k intervention system
During this intervention, Trendsetter executed a wet flowback between wells using its 20,000 psi OWIRS(open water intervention riser system), which allowed for controlled and safe circulation.
The Trident 20K is part of the subsea intervention tools and solutions from Trendsetter, a Houston-based company that offers advanced technology for exploration and well abandonment.
Once the intervention was completed, the Trident 20K returned to Trendsetter’ s facilities for post-campaign maintenance, with a view to reuse in future operations. The company reaffirms its commitment to efficiency and safety by offering rental intervention kits to suit different offshore needs.
The success of the Trident 20K is the result of years of research, design and testing, consolidating Trendsetter’s position as a reference in underwater equipment. Furthermore, its participation in the Shenandoah project is evidence of the key role that modular technologies can play in sustainable energy development in challenging environments.
