In Europe, TotalEnergies has signed a strategic agreement with Airbus to ensure the supply of renewable energy to its main industrial plants in Germany and the United Kingdom over the next decade.
Renewable energy supply agreement for Europe
The contracts signed provide for the delivery of 3.3 terawatt hours of baseload profile electricity from new renewable assets. renewable assets assets, totaling approximately 200 megawatts of installed capacity.
From 2027 onwards, this supply will cover approximately half of the electrical needs of the Airbus facilities included in the agreement, enhancing the energy stability stability of its industrial operations.
On the one hand, TotalEnergies is consolidating its renewable energy growth strategy in two European markets, relying on an integrated portfolio that integrates solar, onshore wind and offshore wind generation together with flexible back-up assets.
On the other hand, Airbus is advancing on its roadmap to reduce emissions and improve the energy efficiency of its plants, ensuring reliable, low-carbon electricity for high-demand industrial processes.
In parallel, this new step expands the previous collaboration between the two companies on sustainable aviation fuels, integrating renewable electricity and complementary energy solutions within a long-term industrial vision.
