Thrive Renewables has secured a £10 million loan from Triodos Bank UK, a financial institution recognized for its sustainable approach. This financing will enable the British clean energy firm to continue to expand its portfolio of wind, solar and communitysolar and community projects in the United Kingdom.

In turn, the financial backing will facilitate the modernization of existing assets, extending the useful life of existing facilities and maximizing their efficiency. In a complementary manner, Thrive Renewables is promoting a public offering of shares through Triodos Bank’s crowdfunding platform, seeking to attract small investors interested in promoting green energy projects.

Moreover, Thrive has over 30 years of experience in the UK energy sector and has financed over 45 renewable energy projects, including initiatives for energy storage initiatives and landmark community developments such as the largest community-owned onshore wind turbine in England and the United Downs geothermal project in Cornwall.

Collaborative model with thousands of shareholders

It is worth noting that this loan is part of a blended finance model that integrates the participation of more than 6,000 shareholders, consolidating Thrive as a key player in the transformation of the UK energy system.

In line with government goals of doubling onshore wind energy onshore wind power and tripling solar by 2030, the company maintains an active role in the UK government’s renewable energy working groups.

Finally, both Thrive Renewables and Triodos Bank UK are certified B Corporations, reaffirming their joint commitment to projects that balance profitability with environmental and social benefits.
