SANY, in collaboration with its local partner DNL Machine & Equipment, organized the launching event of the electric excavator SY215E mid-size electric excavator in the Netherlands. This event brought together more than ten component suppliers, including Leica Germany, and attracted around 250 customers as well as journalists from industry associations such as POUW.
The SY215E is the first medium-sized electric excavator marketed outside China. The Netherlands was selected as the first stop in Europe due to its advanced market for electrical products. The prototype, which arrived in the country in May, aroused great interest, resulting in dozens of pre-sale orders.
Features and details of electric excavator
The SY215E, with a gross weight of 232,000 kg, has a maximum digging height of 9600 mm and a maximum digging depth of 6255 mm. It is available with 600 mm, 700 mm, 800 mm and 900 mm tracks. This all-electric machine, designed for the European market, stands out for its cost savings, operational comfort, excellent performance and high safety.

In terms of cost savings, the excavator, with a battery capacity of 422 kWh, offers a total autonomy of between 5 and 7 hours. Compared to a traditional excavator, it can save up to 21,560 euros per year. Its performance is remarkable thanks to the new C12 cab, which provides a low-noise working environment, and the dual-barrel fast charge, which allows a full charge in only 70 minutes.
In addition, it maintains its stability in sites located more than 4,000 meters above sea level, including tunnels and small mines.
Operation of the SY215E is very convenient thanks to its large HD touch screen, intelligent fault self-diagnosis and online OS update. In terms of safety, the multi-level high voltage design ensures safe operation.
