The 23rd World Petroleum Congress takes place from December 5 to 9, 2021 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in the city of Houston, Texas. The congress, which takes place every three years, is considered the “Olympic Games” of the oil industry and takes place under the theme “Innovative energy solutions”.
In this edition of the congress, forward-looking strategies and technologies will be presented, through a program with presenters and lecturers from more than 100 countries, for thoughtful exchanges and an interactive exhibition.
The participants of the event examine all aspects of the industry, from technological advances in upstream and downstream to the role of natural gas, renewable energies, the management of the industry, its social, economic and environmental impact.
More than 150 high-profile leaders are expected to attend, including energy ministers, CEOs and other expert speakers, as well as key industry pioneers who are influencing the future of energy for the benefit of all.
The World Petroleum Council is a non-political, non-profit organization with charitable status in the UK and is accredited as a United Nations (UN) Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The WPC is dedicated to promoting the sustainable management and use of the world’s petroleum resources for the benefit of all.
