The Technological Institute of Ciudad Madero has released the news of the launch of the new Semiconductor Engineering career for the next school year. This specialization is added to those already existing in the educational establishment and its objective is to satisfy the growing demand for specialists in the field, driven by the arrival of companies such as Tesla and its suppliers.
Through its official Facebook page, the institution thanked the academies of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Chemistry, and Basic Sciences for their participation in the authorization process for this new career in Semiconductor Engineering.
Semiconductor Engineering is a field of specialization used by electronics companies dedicated to the production of chips, conductors or electrical insulators for various sectors, especially in the automotive industry, as in the case of electric vehicles.
It should be noted that this new career is added to those already existing at the Technological Institute of Ciudad Madero, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental, Petroleum, Electrical, Electronic, Geosciences, Business Management and Computer Systems Engineering. The academic cycle for Semiconductor Engineering will start from the August-December cycle, and interested young people are invited to come to obtain more information.
The announcement of this new career has generated a great response on social networks, with wide acceptance by the student community. So far, the publication has received more than 900 reactions, 58 comments and 211 shares, numbers that continue to rise.
Objectives and scope of Semiconductor Engineering at the Tecnológico de Madero
It is important to highlight that the main objective of this new area of specialization at the Technological Institute of Ciudad Madero is to train competent engineers in the analysis, synthesis and conduct of basic and applied research on semiconductor materials. This responds to the need to have professionals trained in the design, manufacture and improvement of electronic components and integrated circuits.
