The global energy industry is focusing its attention on the East African coast following the formalization of strategic agreements for the expansion of gas capacity.

The company Technip Energies, in a technical alliance with JGC and Samsung Heavy Industries, has consolidated its position in the Coral Norte floating liquefied natural gas project. This award, granted by Mozambique Rovuma Venture, represents a decisive step forward for international supply stability and regional energy security.

The Award of the Coral Norte Floating LNG Project

The development is based on an operational efficiency strategy through the replication concept of the validated Coral Sul design. By capitalizing on a proven model and integrating lessons learned in previous phases, the consortium ensures execution with lower risk exposure and superior predictability in delivery timelines.

Likewise, the adoption of these engineering solutions enables the new infrastructure to have optimized processing capacity and superior performance in ultra-deepwater.

The physical progress of the unit is tangible at world-class shipbuilding centers. During January, the hull was successfully launched in South Korea, demonstrating the speed at which the technical milestones of the schedule are being met.

Technip Energies demonstrates its authority in delivering complex solutions, integrating systematic and rigorous safety protocols and cutting-edge technology in Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin.

The collaboration with strategic partners such as Eni ensures that the LNG flow maintains the necessary consistency for markets in transition. The leadership of the companies involved ensures that Mozambique remains a central player on the global energy map for decades to come.
