Strategic Marine, the Singapore-based shipbuilder, has completed the delivery of a second crew transfer vessel (CTV) (CTV) with Z-Bow design to the Taiwanese market, strengthening its positioning in the East Asian offshore wind sector. This delivery represents the completion of a four-vessel construction program signed in the second quarter of 2024 with a key operator in Taiwan.

Technical characteristics of the 27-meter CTV

The vessel, developed in conjunction with engineering firm BMT Limited, has been designed specifically for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel on offshore wind farms. Its technical features include bow thrusters, controllable pitch propellers and an active fendering system, which greatly enhances its maneuverability and operability in demanding conditions.

From an engineering point of view, this 27-meter CTV stands out for its optimized aluminum structure to reduce weight and increase fuel efficiency. The incorporation of advanced navigation and control solutions reinforces Strategic Marine’s commitment to innovation and maritime safety.

Strategic Marine’s business strategy and regional expansion

With this second delivery, the company confirms its ability to execute multipurpose programs and meet the agreed deadlines, consolidating strategic relationships with regional operators in a market increasingly focused on sustainable development and offshore wind offshore wind infrastructure.

Strategic Marine’s CEO, Chan Eng Yew, highlighted that this new achievement reaffirms the company’s focus on high-performance naval solutions tailored to the specific requirements of the offshore wind sector.

Strategic Marine continues to expand its customer base in Asia and other key regions, aligning its production capabilities with the growing global demand for specialized renewable energy vessels.
