Strategic Marine has completed the delivery of two 42-meter fast crew boats to NMDC LTS, a key division of the NMDC Group with a focus on offshore services. The deal marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Singapore-based shipbuilder and one of the Middle East’s most influential logistics operators.
Fast crew boats designed for performance and stability
The vessels, classified as fourth-generation Fast Crew Boats (FCB), have been developed in conjunction with Southerly Designs, integrating solutions designed to maximize operational efficiency in demanding sea conditions.
Designed to reduce fuel consumption and mitigate emissions, the new vessels are equipped with gyrostabilization systems that significantly improve stability during the transfer of personnel on offshore platforms. offshore platforms.
High capacity and readiness for hybrid systems
Each vessel can accommodate up to 80 people, with ergonomic seating and reinforced decks for light cargo operations. In addition, they are prepared for upgrades with hybrid technologyThe vessels are also ready for hybrid technology upgrades, allowing the integration of future energy efficiency improvements or connection to motion-compensated gangways, which are crucial for the dynamic needs of the energy sector.
The hull design, optimized to minimize hydrodynamic drag, allows smoother sailing and greater efficiency over medium distances. This is essential on repetitive shore-to-shore logistics routes, where reliability and operational savings are critical.
Strategic alliance and regional vision
The delivery was made possible thanks to a partnership with Prima Marine, a Thai operator renowned for its expertise in maritime transport. This collaboration reinforces Strategic Marine’s position as a reliable supplier for markets with advanced technical demands, such as the Middle East.
For its part, NMDC LTS is adding these vessels to its fleet to expand its logistics capacity in the Gulf, an environment characterized by ever-expanding complex projects.
According to Chan Eng Yew, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Marinesaid, this delivery represents an important step towards a continued presence in the region, where the growth of the offshore sector requires modern, efficient and adaptable vessels.
