Solstad Offshore has confirmed the awarding of three contracts with Petrobras for operations in Brazil, strengthening its position in one of the world’s most active energy markets.
Solstad Offshore’s contract expansion with Petrobras
This agreement proposes the provision of two AHTS(anchor handling tugs) type vessels from Solstad Maritime‘s fleet, which will commence operations in the first quarter of 2026. Each will operate under a four-year contract, and one of them will include ROV services, essential for subsea inspection and maintenance.
The selection of AHTS vessels for these missions reflects the constant demand for robust technical support on offshore platforms and heavy infrastructure installation activities in deep water.
In addition to the AHTS, the subsea construction support vessel(CSV) “Normand Flower”, also part of Solstad Maritime’s fleet, will start its contract with Petrobras in December 2025. This four-year agreement includes ROV services and is geared to support installation and maintenance work on complex subsea structures.
The Normand Flower is known for its versatility in subsea engineering projects, integrating loading capabilities, detailed positioning technologies and support for subsea operations under demanding conditions.
Solstad Offshore ASA holds a 27.3% interest in Solstad Maritime ASA, where the organization will directly supply the aforementioned vessels. This structure strengthens the joint operational capacity and reflects a strategic synergy in the execution of projects for the energy sector in South America.
