Solstad Offshore, one of Norway’s leading offshore companies, has secured a new contract with Subsea7 for the Normand Subsea , a specialized construction support vessel (CSV).
This contract is for a two-year term with three additional annual options, reflecting the mutual trust between the two companies, which have collaborated since the vessel’s delivery.
About the Normand Subsea
The Normand Subsea , built in 2009, has been a key part of Subsea7’s offshore operations and will continue to be a key part of its projects. Beginning January 1, 2026, the vessel will begin service under a new agreement that further solidifies its role within the Subsea7 fleet.
Although the financial details of the contract have not been disclosed, the agreement’s extended duration and annual extension options indicate both parties’ long-term commitment to the offshore sector .
This move underscores Solstad Offshore’s position as a major player in the provision of specialized support vessels, while Subsea7 strengthens its capability to undertake large-scale subsea work in the coming years.
