Solstad Maritime secures new contract for the “Normand Pioneer”.

Solstad Maritime ASA Group has taken a firm step into the offshore sector with the award of a key contract for the construction support vessel (CSV) “Normand Pioneer”. This agreement reinforces the company’s presence in energy operations and confirms its commitment to Petrobras.

This is how the “Normand Pioneer” will operate

The press release explains that the “Normand Pioneer“whose cargo deck area is 1,000 m², will operate under a bareboat contract, a structure that makes it easier to optimize resources and maintain operational flexibility in offshore projects. The formal holder of the agreement with Petrobras will be Solstad Offshore ASA, while the vessel will be provided by SOMA.

In addition, the contract states that the “Normand Pioneer” will be equipped with an Ampelmann E-type wave compensation gangway, an advanced technology that ensures safe operations in demanding sea conditions.

Operations are scheduled to commence in October 2025 and the contract includes 180 days of service delivery, with a gross value of approximately US$17 million, including mobilization.

The awarding of this agreement also strengthens Solstad Maritime as a strategic partner in advanced maritime logistics, consolidating its position in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
