Solaria receives approval for solar project in Guadalajara

The Olivas project will generate green energy for more than 98,000 homes and create 700 direct jobs during construction.

Solaria has received the Administrative Construction Authorization for its second solar project in Guadalajara. This new project, called Olivas, will have a capacity of 175 MW, adding to the 626 MW of the existing Cifuentes-Trillo project in the region.

This photovoltaic project, which will generate enough green energy to supply more than 98,000 homes, includes five plants: Oliva-solar 1 (50 MW), 2 (50 MW), 3 (25 MW), 4 (25 MW) and 5 (25 MW). These plants will be located in the Usanos district and will be connected to the Daganzo substation.

The Olivas project represents an investment of approximately 90 million euros and is expected to have a useful life of 30 years. The company has indicated in a statement that this initiative will contribute significantly to Guadalajara’s energy supply, and will create some 700 direct jobs during the construction phase. In addition, indirect jobs will be generated, benefiting the local economy.
