SLB OneSubsea and Subsea7 strengthen their partnership with bp on the Ginger project

SLB announced that its OneSubsea joint venture, in collaboration with Subsea7, has been awarded an EPCI contract by bp for the development of the Ginger project, located offshore Trinidad and Tobago. Ginger project components

The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of subsea infrastructure for a development that is located at depths of up to 90 meters. OneSubsea will be responsible for supplying four standardized single-caliber vertical subsea trees and a manifold equipped with a HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection System), the first of its kind in the region.

Subsea7 will be responsible for the divers connection system, a flexible flowline and the associated structural laying. Both companies emphasize that this award reflects their technical capability and adaptability to deliver cost-effective solutions on a large scale.

Strengthening technical collaboration

OneSubsea’s management values this contract as a validation of the deep integration approach in subsea projects. Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of OneSubsea, underlined the importance of unlocking the final investment decision (FID) for Ginger as a tangible step towards implementing more collaborative models in the offshore sector.

Olivier Blaringhem, executive director of the Subsea Integration Alliance, said that this project extends the EPCI collaboration with bp to new geographies, combining assets, capabilities and expertise to optimize the total cost of ownership of the development. Ginger.
