Siemens and NVIDIA to design a process operating system with industrial AI

The alliance is attracting the interest of giants such as Foxconn, Hyundai and PepsiCo, who are evaluating its applications in real-world environments.
La visión de Siemens y NVIDIA aplicada a toda industria

Siemens and NVIDIA have announced the expansion of their partnership to create an end-to-end platform that will bring artificial intelligence to the entire industrial lifecycle. The collaboration seeks to connect design, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain under a single AI infrastructure.

Siemens and NVIDIA’s vision applied to every industry

Both companies plan to develop smart factories with the ability to adapt in real time, through the combination of digital twins, software-defined automation and generative simulation. The first working model will be the Siemens Electronics plant in Erlangen, Germany, scheduled for 2026.

NVIDIA will bring its accelerated computing power and libraries such as CUDA-X and Omniverse, while Siemens will integrate these capabilities into its automation and simulation tools, optimized for industrial flows.

The partnership provides for deep integration into electronics design through AI-assisted verification tools and process optimization. This will enable the development of semiconductors to be accelerated, with speed improvements of up to 10 times in critical tasks.

Siemens , on the other hand, will adapt its EDA software to take advantage of NVIDIA’s PhysicsNeMo models, resulting in a new generation of AI-native workflows.

The integration of NVIDIA’s technology ecosystem with Siemens’ industrial expertise Siemens’ industrial expertise seeks to bridge the gap between simulation and physical operation, enabling fast, informed decisions from design to production.

They will also implement them in their own processes, demonstrating the potential of these technologies in their operations. Thus, each internal improvement will be a practical validation before being scaled up to other industrial sectors.
