Repsol and Kia have strengthened their strategic agreement with the aim of consolidating their position in the electric mobility ecosystem in Spain. This renewal involves the deployment of domestic, business and public charging technologies, managed by Repsol and integrated with the Waylet digital network.

Investment in electric mobility infrastructure

As part of the agreement, Kia will offer its customers in Spain a comprehensive recharging system for homes and businesses. Repsol will be in charge of the entire installation, grant processing and maintenance, facilitating a frictionless experience. In addition, users who contract electricity tariffs with Repsol and manage the maintenance of the charging point will obtain benefits such as discounts, Waylet balance and preferential conditions in the public charging network.

The collaboration involves opening more than 175 fast charging points located in Kia dealerships to public access, thanks to their integration into the Waylet network. This will allow any user to locate, reserve and use these chargers from a single application, improving the accessibility and interoperability of the system.

Repsol currently has more than 2,800 public recharging points in operation in Spain, distributed in service stations, parking lots, urban roads and supermarkets. All terminals have permanent technical support and remote monitoring.

This new push is part of a relationship that began in 2018 with the creation of WiBLE, a carsharing platform operated with Kia plug-in hybrid models. Since then, Repsol and Kia have evolved their collaboration into a joint commitment to the electrification of transport.

Both brands reinforce their commitment to an energy transition that offers real solutions to the user. While Kia leads the market for electrified vehiclesRepsol is advancing in its multi-energy strategy, integrating digital services such as Waylet and consolidating its network as one of the most extensive in the country.

With this renewed alliance, Repsol and Kia not only connect infrastructure and vehicle, but also integrate energy, technology and service into a single experience. The interoperability achieved through Waylet allows users to access more than 7,000 recharging points with a single platform, reinforcing the value proposition for the end customer and fostering a sustainable and efficient energy ecosystem.
