Re/cell , the leading supplier of remanufactured electric vehicle batteries in North America, has announced the launch of its new lithium-ion batteries , manufactured using recycled cells from existing Tesla batteries .
Lithium-ion blocks and Tesla batteries
The new lithium-ion battery architecture is distinguished by its expandable design and high energy density. This technology has the capacity to deliver storage capacities from 12 Ah to 48 Ah or more, adapting to the specific needs of its customers.
There are literally billions of lithium-ion cells in existing Tesla battery packs that can be quickly and cheaply repurposed for the growing secondary battery market.
According to Chad Maglaque, founder of re/cell.
Separately, the announcement included the development of a reference battery architecture designed specifically for heavy-lift drones and unmanned aerial vehicles ( UAVs ). This battery is ideal for multiple applications in sectors such as agriculture , aerial photography , surveying , cargo delivery , and more.
The new battery packs feature technical specifications such as LED fuel gauges, integrated safety protection, and cross-flow cooling. Highlights include 17 Ah, 23 Ah, and 46 Ah models, all capable of handling high amperage and delivering consistent, efficient performance.
