In a chilling video shared on social media, the company Clone Robotics has unveiled Protoclone, the world’s first musculoskeletal android , capable of replicating human anatomy and movements with unprecedented fidelity. Equipped with more than 1,000 myofibers, more than 200 sensors and an artificial nervous system, this humanoid marks a before and after in the development of realistic androids.

A realistic humanoid with advanced biomechanics

Unlike other humanoid robots , Protoclone does not rely on traditional electric motors , but on a structure inspired by human physiology. Its muscular system, developed with Myofiber technology , allows fluid and natural movements, imitating the muscular contraction and relaxation of mammals.

Its synthetic ligaments replicate human joints, providing more than 200 degrees of freedom in mobility. This gives it a greater range of motion than many current androids, making its movements more realistic and adaptive.

Advanced AI for perfect movements

The androids that the company is working on stand out for their biomechanical structure and advanced artificial intelligence system. The skeleton of the Aalpha robot , for example, is made up of 206 artificial bones, aligned with precise anatomical points to ensure natural movements.

The company’s first bimanual torso , meanwhile, uses a system of water-powered artificial muscles. It is also equipped with a lightweight skeleton and a frame that holds each of the hydraulic components. This model uses water pumped through valves to replicate muscle movements by activating artificial tendons.
