Plenitude acquires 760 MW in renewable energies from the French market

Eni‘s energy subsidiary, Plenitude, announces expansion plans by signing an agreement with Neoen to acquire a portfolio of 52 renewable energy facilities distributed throughout France. The deal includes 37 photovoltaic plants, 14 wind farms and a battery storage unit, totaling 760 megawatts of installed capacity.

These assets generate approximately 1.1 TWh of energy per year, increasing Plenitude s clean energy production capacity in one of Europe’s most active energy transition markets.

The transaction is part of the company’s 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, which aims to reach 10 GW of installed renewable capacity by the end of 2028. With this acquisition, the company accelerates its commitment to the evolution towards sustainable and integrated energy sources.

According to Stefano Goberti, CEO of Plenitude, the transaction also strengthens the company’s business model by integrating renewable generation, energy services and electric mobility. Plenitude serves close to one million retail customers in France, and this acquisition enhances its competitive and operational position.

The agreement is pending approval by the competent regulatory authorities, which marks an essential step towards its formalization.
