Israel Hurtado is a renowned writer, speaker and consultant on energy and sustainability, he has stood out for promoting renewable energy, green hydrogen and sustainability. Israel Hurtado directs the Mexican Hydrogen Association since late 2020, and is a veteran of the energy industry who has worked at Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the Ministry of Energy (Sener) and the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), where he was commissioned from 2006 to 2011. A lawyer by profession, in addition to his work in the Mexican Hydrogen Association, Hurtado is a partner of the Sustainable Energy consultancy, focused on promoting the development of the industry through energy infrastructure projects, and is Acting President of the Mexican Academy of Energy Law.
