Ocean Installer expands its presence in the Balder Next project

Ocean Installer has secured a new strategic contract from Vår Energi within the framework of the Balder Next project, which provides for the expansion of production in the Balder field, located in the central sector of the North Sea. Norwegian North Sea Norwegian North Sea.

Technical details of the contract

The contract covers project management, engineering and the supply of products and flexible piping for the subsea development. These tasks will be executed under an accelerated schedule starting in 2025 with the fabrication phase and contemplating offshore operations in 2027 and 2028.

This initial agreement is part of the collaboration between Ocean Installer and Vår Energi’s Subsea Partnership subsidiary, which is leading the implementation of the Balder Next – New Wells project. This phase aims to enable six new subsea wells and prepare the infrastructure for future production connections.

A strategic alliance gaining momentum

This new step strengthens the strategic alliance signed in 2022 between Ocean Installer and Vår Energi, consolidating a relationship that has evolved through projects such as Balder Future and Balder Phase VI.
