The group has experience in wind farms such as Abilitas, Cabanillas and Pestriz, all of them in Navarra. With this new initiative, they strengthen their commitment to regional sustainable development and the improvement of existing energy infrastructure.

From the towers, blades and nacelles will be manufactured in Spain, while bushings and power trains will come from Germany. This strategic integration will optimize delivery times, generate employment and support the European supply chain.

This project is aligned with the objectives of the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, framed within the NextGenerationEU strategy. In addition, work is estimated to start in July 2026 and the plant is expected to be operational in February 2027.

Francisco Cejudo, Nordex’s Sales Director for Spain, mentioned that the advanced technology of the turbines will maximize energy production. He also pointed out that the agreement with Enhol includes a 20-year premium service, which guarantees the optimal performance of the installations in the long term.

The repowering of the Caparroso wind farm is a technological upgrade, which represents a commitment to extend the useful life of infrastructures, improve their efficiency and advance in climate objectives. With this new step, Navarra consolidates its position as a reference in onshore wind energy in Europe.
