Mitsubishi Electric Automation has introduced a new line of robots with higher payloads, designed for applications that require handling heavier loads and longer reach. The RV-35/50/80 FR series of industrial robots is specially designed for handling large workpieces and heavy objects.

Mitsubishi Electric’s highest payload robots

Robot Product Manager at Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Curtis Sylliaasen, highlighted that the RV-35/50/80FR series will change the company’s capabilities, allowing them to perform applications that were previously inaccessible and inoperable, such as end-of-line palletizing and machine tending for large parts.

With a maximum reach of 82.7 inches (2100 mm) and a payload capacity of up to 176.4 pounds (80 kg), these robots are ideal for palletizing and machine tending tasks. Mitsubishi Electric claims that these robots robots are equipped with industry-leading speed and precision industry-leading speed and precision, enabling them to meet the demands of today’s manufacturing applications.

The RV-34/50/80 FR series is designed for seamless integration with various factory automation equipment. This allows users to connect the robot’s functionality with IT systems, and offers a range of safety functions, including position and velocity monitoring. In addition, users can pair these robots with Mitsubishi Electric’s MELFA Smart Plus card for easy installation and programming.
