Independent energy operator NAES and Gecko , a specialist in robotics and artificial intelligence, have presented their strategic alliance to modernize infrastructure and electrical networks in the country. This official agreement exceeds 100 million dollars, and aims to strengthen reliability and operational efficiency of American energy facilities.

The deal could grow to $250 million as warranted by power plant modernization and/or the creation of more resilient infrastructure to meet the energy challenges of the coming decades. Some experts say energy demand in the country will grow by 16% in the coming years, driven primarily by the exponential rise of technology , electrification , AI , data centers , transportation , and American reindustrialization .

Gecko is contributing its Cantilever platform , powered by AI and advanced robotics , to monitor and optimize NAES operations at thermal and renewable energy plants. In addition, through the use of robots, drones and fixed sensors, detailed and accurate information will be collected on the health of critical infrastructure, predicting potential contingencies or problems before they occur and optimizing performance. This agreement is a historic milestone in terms of the use of new advances involving AI, robotics and non-destructive testing (NDT) used to ensure reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) of critical assets.

With the backing of the White House, NAES and Gecko are committed to attracting investors and qualified personnel to strengthen the energy sector. This reinforces the call of President Trump, who has declared an ” energy emergency ,” recognizing the urgent need to improve infrastructure to ensure the country’s energy security.

Through advanced robotics and artificial intelligence, both companies are laying the foundation for a new era in the energy sector. Gecko’s technologies enable more efficient and predictive management of power plants , eliminating unexpected downtime and optimizing performance in real time. These innovations are shaping a new operating model that could be replicated on a large scale around the world.
