N-Sea Group has signed a long-term charter agreement with Rederij Groen to operate the new offshore support vessel Dominus. This vessel, currently under construction at the De Hoop shipyard in Tolkamer, Netherlands, will be delivered in April 2027 as part of N-Sea’s strategic fleet growth plan.

The Dominus will have a length of 69.85 m, a beam of 15.77 m, and a draft of 4.50 m. Its architecture is optimized to execute advanced geophysical surveys, UXO investigations, and integrated geotechnical analyses. Equipped with Tier 3 engines and a diesel-electric propulsion system, the vessel aims to reduce emissions and ensure sustainable operations in demanding environments.

Partnerships shaping the vessel Dominus

The development of the Dominus is the result of a partnership between N-Sea, Rederij Groen, the De Hoop shipyard, and PASSER. This cooperation seeks to integrate precision engineering, operational expertise, and a sustainable vision into a single maritime platform. During the keel-laying ceremony, company representatives highlighted the importance of the project as part of strengthening the European offshore sector.

The arrival of the Dominus adds to N-Sea’s recent investments, such as the vessel Geo Master (April 2026) and the Altera (June 2026), consolidating its position as a leading provider of integrated subsea survey, cable installation, and repair solutions. With 14 vessels in its fleet and operations in Europe and the Middle East, the Dutch company continues to expand its capacity to offer safe and efficient services to the offshore energy industry.

Focus on sustainability and onboard well-being

In addition to its technical capabilities, the Dominus has been designed with a focus on operational safety and the comfort of the onboard team. This approach responds to N-Sea’s strategy of maintaining high quality standards at all levels of its operations, prioritizing human well-being alongside technological efficiency.
