From July 6 to 9, the city of Villahermosa in Tabasco, will host the XVI Edition of the Mexican Petroleum Congress, in which the participation of more than 7,000 people linked to the oil and industrial sector is expected.
The event is part of the strategies to promote the economic development of the region and for Tabasco to consolidate itself as the Energy Capital of Mexico.
The Undersecretary of Energy Transition of the Secretariat for Energy Development (Sedener), Irbing Orozco Juárez, announced that, due to the importance of the congress, it will be held at the Parque Tabasco facilities, using the three warehouses where more than 600 stands of national and international exhibitors.
He shared that it was thanks to the efforts of Governor Carlos Manuel Merino Campos and the approval of the organizers that Tabasco was able to host this important event, which represents an economic benefit of around 120 million pesos.
He specified that in addition to the exhibitions, more than 200 conferences will be held by specialists from the hydrocarbon sector, where everything related to the technological advances that currently exist will be addressed.
“It is an event fundamentally for the entire oil industry, on the one hand, it implies making known all the new technologies that exist in terms of production exploration, everything related to hydrocarbons, and, on the other hand, with the participation of experts, the advances in this matter are discussed and brought to light,” he added.
Orozco Juárez highlighted the participation of the state’s hotel sector, the Ministry of Energy Development, the Ministry of Health, Economic Development, Tourism, Civil Protection, Public Safety, Finance, among other government instances, to achieve the objectives set out in the development congressional.
