MagicLab has launched the MagicHand S01 , its first dexterous robotic hand, with the aim of boosting the adoption of humanoid robots in industry and commerce. Designed with advanced force and position control technology, this innovation promises to improve the dexterity and functionality of robots in complex tasks.

A robotic hand with precise movements

The MagicHand S01 is equipped with 11 degrees of freedom , allowing it to perform complex and precise movements. Thanks to its tactile feedback technology and high-efficiency electric actuators, the robotic hand can execute actions such as grasping, two-finger manipulation, and part adjustment with a force resolution of up to 0.1 N.

Wu Changzheng, CEO of MagicLab, says dexterous hands are essential for robots to become more human-like. The MagicHand S01 combines flexibility and exceptional payload, making it ideal for various industrial and commercial applications.

MagicHand S01 Charging Capacity and Applications

With a payload of 5 kilograms per hand and the ability to lift up to 20 kg with both arms when integrated with the MagicBot humanoid robot , the MagicHand S01 sets a new standard in the industry. This capability makes it an ideal solution for industrial environments , especially in material handling, assembly and inspection tasks.

To ensure strength and efficiency, MagicLab has developed a reinforced structure with high-torque motors and lightweight components in non-load bearing areas. In addition, the use of high-pressure casting techniques balances weight and performance, ensuring stability in continuous use.

Integration with MagicBot

One of the highlights of the MagicHand S01 is its optimized communication interface, which enables real-time synchronization with the MagicBot at a frequency of up to 100 Hz. This facilitates precise and efficient control in dynamic environments, improving the robots’ ability to adapt to changing tasks.

In December 2024, MagicLab secured a 150 million yuan funding round led by Zhuichuang Ventures and Yipu Fund. The funds will be used to expand the R&D team, accelerate mass production, and explore new applications in industrial and commercial sectors.

That same month, several MagicBot robots worked on a factory production line, performing tasks such as product inspection, material handling, part placement and barcode scanning.

MagicLab is among the few companies, alongside Tesla and Figure AI , capable of developing dexterous robotic hands at scale. Its focus on embedded intelligence and ergonomic design is driving the evolution of humanoid robots to perform ever more precise and delicate tasks.
