Aerogeneradores gigantes llegan a Chile

At the DP World Lirquén multipurpose terminal, unloading of the largest wind turbines in the world began. the largest wind turbines wind turbines that have ever arrived in the country. Each unit includes blades 90 meters long and structural sections exceeding 130 tons, characteristics that demand a high-precision logistic operation.

Giant wind turbines on the road to Ñuble

The operation began with the arrival of the vessel MN Star Lusterdirectly from China. In this first phase, six of the twenty-two wind turbines that make up the project were disembarked.

This equipment will be destined for the wind farm developed by Goldwind in the commune of Pemuco, Ñuble Region.

Specialized logistics and strategic connectivity

Thanks to the terminal’s experience in handling oversized cargo and its direct connection to Route 5, unloading is carried out efficiently and smoothly.

The company’s infrastructure in Lirquén has proven to be capable of handling this type of complex operations, which reinforces its position as a key logistics node for the energy industry.

The port administration pointed out that this is the first time that segmented towers for wind turbines have been introduced in Chile.
