The extension of the IWS Sunwalker
The contract has a 75-day duration, and will be with an existing customer, starting in December 2025, aligned with previous commitments set for 2026. With this signing, all six Skywalker series vessels have been chartered directly upon delivery.
On the other hand, the CSOV IWS Starwalker will also continue to operate following the extension of its current contract. This extension will cover an additional 90 days, allowing the vessel to remain in operation until well into the first quarter of 2026. The extension is integrated with a pre-existing commitment, consolidating the operational stability of the fleet.
During the third quarter of 2025, IWS achieved a commercial utilization rate of over 99% with four active units, highlighting the entry into operation of the IWS Moonwalker on September 24. These data underscore the operational efficiency achieved by the company in a highly competitive market.
The Skywalker series of CSOV vessels series has demonstrated a consistent ability to secure short- and medium-term charter contracts. IWS is currently in discussions for 2027 logistics requirements, reflecting sustained interest from both new and repeat customers.
From its headquarters in Norway, IWS integrates a specialized support fleet with services linked to the offshore wind supply chain. In addition to operating six Skywalker-class vessels, the company holds stakes in wind farm management and consulting firms in Europe.
IWS Fleet CEO Christopher Heidenreich mentioned that these new agreements reaffirm the market’s confidence in the technical and operational quality of its fleet, backed by experienced crews and comprehensive management aligned with the demands of the offshore wind sector.
