The Island Drilling and Tullow Oil project has been successfully completed
During operations, the company stood out for meeting all health, safety and environmental ( HSE ) standards, and for achieving all key performance indicators ( KPIs ) established for the project. Furthermore, it managed to complete the works within the established time frame and under the planned budget, reflecting its operational capacity and commitment to efficiency.
The use of advanced technologies , such as the DP system , has allowed these offshore operations to be carried out with extreme precision, ensuring stable positioning of the platform even in complex maritime conditions.
The success of the project would not have been possible without the close cooperation between Island Drilling ’s onshore and offshore teams, who worked under a collaborative approach called “ One Team” . This model allowed for efficient and fluid coordination at all stages of the project, from planning to full execution.
For its part, Tullow Oil , with solid experience in oil and gas exploration and production in Africa, provided invaluable support to the project, strengthening the ties between both companies. This successful collaboration is a testament to their ability to execute complex projects, and a sign of the synergy between leading companies in the energy sector.
With this contract successfully completed, Island Drilling looks forward to expanding its relationship with Tullow Oil and other energy sector operators. The company has demonstrated a unique capability to undertake decommissioning and abandonment projects, which are vital in the oil and gas industry, particularly in regions where the energy transition demands more sustainable approaches.
