The Argentine high-tech company INVAP launched the first edition of the Best Engineering Theses National Contest, with the intention of rewarding talent and the generation of knowledge in favor of the development of the country.
The federal contest has the purpose of recognizing Argentine talent in research and innovative projects that, through the exercise of engineering, have a real application in strategic areas for development and seek to build a better future.
The call is open to students of nuclear engineering, mechanics, electronics, telecommunications, electromechanics, materials, chemistry, aerospace, mechatronics, aeronautics, industrial and computer science. All undergraduate, postgraduate, master’s or doctoral engineering theses presented during the 2022 calendar year, both from public and private institutions, whether Argentine or foreign studying in Argentine institutions, may participate.
To participate, the theses must be approved by the educational institution to which the students belong, and must be nominated by it, through the Faculty, Institute or Department of Engineering, or through the Thesis Directors. Applications will also be accepted through professional, technical and scientific associations, and the Federal Council of Engineering Deans (CONFEDI).
Thesis reception will be from the month of March to May 31, 2023. There will be a mixed jury with participants from the business and academic fields. They will review the June and July theses. The winners will be announced at the end of July and the award ceremony will take place in September, which will consist of a monetary recognition.
