On the path towards the energy transition and within the framework of the provincial Strategic Energy Plan, in the province of La Pampa, in Argentina, they are advancing in a call to present private initiatives for the award of three photovoltaic parks, to be developed in strategic points of his territory.

The call aims to provide supply solutions through the generation of electricity from renewable sources, hand in hand with the proposal of competitive economic and legal conditions that encourage capital investment in the sector.

The innovative process is led by the state energy company Pampetrol SAPEM, in coordination with the strategic guidelines of the Ministry of Energy and Mining and the Investment and Foreign Trade Agency of La Pampa (I-COMEX).

The provincial Secretary of Energy and Mining, Matías Toso, affirmed that the initiative is part of Law No. 3285 -of the Energy Development Regime- and “in the public policy promoted by Governor Sergio Ziliotto, which promotes the generation of electrical energy coming mainly from renewable sources, in line with the commitments assumed at a global level regarding the environment, climate change and sustainable production”.

Likewise, the executive director of the I-COMEX Agency, Sebastián Lastiri, assured that with this advance “La Pampa adheres to the movement of provinces that actively work to attract investments for the generation of clean energy, with a view to promoting social, economic and productive.” The call -which, they highlight, consolidates Pampetrol SAPEM as an energy company- emphasizes developing and operating photovoltaic generation parks in the towns of Caleufú, Victorica and Intendente Alvear.

“The chosen scheme is innovative and will allow us to qualitatively and quantitatively weigh the investment or public-private integration models that are presented,” highlighted the president of the company, María de los Ángeles Roveda.

The bidders will be able to develop the projects by themselves or in association with Pampetrol SAPEM, according to reports from the provincial offices. In the associative modality, the Pampas firm may provide a long-term supply contract (LTPPA) with the Provincial Energy Administration, up to covering all the contracted energy, equivalent to 21,000 MWh/year.
