HyLight has secured an investment of 3.7 million euros (equivalent to $4 million) to boost the large-scale manufacture of hydrogen-powered drones. This significant capital injection will enable the company to improve the development and deployment of its technologies.
Major funding for HyLight
The financial resources obtained will be allocated to three key objectives. It will also facilitate the expansion of HyLight’s operations, enabling mass production and fostering the establishment of strategic alliances that will expand its market presence.
With financial support secured, HyLight intends to strengthen its team by hiring specialists in aviation regulation, embedded systems, hydrogen technology and software development. In addition, the company plans to innovate and improve its steerable drones to meet the strictest safety and industrial efficiency standards, optimizing its large-scale production.
The funding round was led by renowned entities such as “Y Combinator, Ring Capital, Kima Ventures, Collaborative Fund and Marc Tarpenning”, co-founder of Tesla. This leaves as a result in this investment for HyLight a Y Combinator startup accelerator.

The company will be integrated into the SkyDeck accelerator, supported by the French Agency for Innovation in Transport, and will join the EDHEC network through the Générations seed fund.
