Norwegian firm HydrogenPro ASA and multinational Thermax Partner have announced a strategic alliance for the development of alkaline electrolyzers in India, directly targeting the large green hydrogen projects that the country is promoting as part of its energy transition.

The collaboration envisages the spin-off of alkaline water electrolysis technology, enabling India to have in-house capabilities for manufacturing equipment for the hydrogen production. Thermax will contribute its industrial infrastructure and local market knowledge, while HydrogenPro will provide its globally recognized high-efficiency electrolysis technology.
