El helicóptero Racer

The Airbus-developed Racer helicopter , developed in the Clean Sky 2 project, has successfully completed its first flight in Marignane, marking the start of a series of important tests, which will last two years.

The success of the Racer helicopter

This helicopter stands out for its composite design that integrates fixed wings for efficient lifting , side rotors for propulsion , and a main rotor that allows it to operate with vertical takeoff and landing capability.

The Racer can reach cruising speeds in excess of 400 km/h , and aims to demonstrate an optimal balance between speed, cost and mission performance, thus competing with current industry standards.
