Hempel innovates in industrial coatings
Hempel presented its portfolio of flagship products portfolio, which includes solutions for the marine industry, oil & gas and passive fire protection. Among the most outstanding innovations are:
- New generation silicones for marine applications.
- Zinc-rich epoxy coatings with innovative Avangard technology, which significantly extend the service life of assets in offshore environments.
- A new fireproof coating designed to protect infrastructure against hydrocarbon and cellulosic fires.
- A spray-applied insulation that combines anticorrosive and insulating properties meeting the highest international standards.
Flores stressed that these developments allow the company to offer multilayer systems with a durability of up to 15 years, reducing maintenance costs and ensuring the long-term integrity of the assets.

In addition, the company maintains a strong focus on sustainability, supported by its specialized team in Denmark, which works to reduce the volatile organic content (VOC) in its products. It also provides its customers with tools to calculate and verify the environmental impact of its solutions, in line with the company’s corporate values of environmental protection and production efficiency.
