The Testek Group and the company Waygate Technologies held this week in Lima, the Workshop on Digital Transformation in NDT (Non Destructive Testing), where the devices for inspection, the Krautkramer USM 100 and the Mentor UT ultrasonic flaw detector, were presented. Phased Array.
The engineers Wagner Romano, ASNT Level III of Waygate Technologies Brazil, Alejandro Kernweiss, Senior Sales Manager of Waygate Technologies and Andreina Peña, Commercial Manager of the Testek Group, were the facilitators of this event, in which the benefits of these innovative equipment were detailed. of Remote Visual Inspection (IVR), with which fast and precise measurements are obtained.
Facilitators explained the highlights of the Krautkramer USM 100, a portable Ultrasonic Testing (UT) device that takes repeatable ultrasonic inspections. This equipment has capabilities similar to those of a smartphone, it has a large touch screen, which can be used with gloves, under any weather and lighting conditions. In addition, it is easy to configure, being the only fault detector on the market in which the measurements made go directly to the Internet Cloud, allowing secure data management and remote access.
Likewise, the attendees learned about the handling of the Mentor UT Phased Array ultrasonic flaw detector device, which allows more precise and intuitive inspections with its touch screen, as easy to use as a Smartphone, in where you can create menus and workflows (apps) to guide operators step by step through the inspection process, from calibration to probe location and analysis.
The Mentor UT is the first ultrasonic testing device to offer wireless connectivity and live streaming, so inspectors can get real-time second opinions when they need them. That same wireless Cloud connectivity allows the Mentor UT to remotely generate comprehensive inspection reports on users’ computers with the push of a button.
