The eighth edition of the PANNDT 2025 has become a milestone for the international Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) community. Glenn Tubbret, CEO of CINDE and chairman of PANNDT, enthusiastically shared the details of this event that brings together more than 600 industry professionals, with nearly 100 exhibitors and some 120 high-level technical papers.
In an interview with Inspenet, Tubbret highlighted the unique opportunity for Canada to host this global event because of its technical impact and also because of the symbolic value of holding it in a place with as much history as Niagara Falls.
The surprising connection between NDT and art
One of the most striking aspects of the interview was the incursion of NDT into the art world. Tubbret, recounted how this technology has been key to authenticating jewelry, restoring works of art and even unlocking the secrets of the Herculaneum scrolls, burned during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
