Both companies will seek to align their capabilities: while HHI brings decades of leadership in hull and deck construction, GATE Energy complements with its expertise in commissioning and technical commissioning. This synergy was evidenced in previous projects such as King’s Quay and Shenandoahwhere their technical coordination enabled high standards of execution to be achieved.

This MOU represents the next chapter in a strong and growing relationship between GATE and HHI.

Our collaboration on the King’s Quay and Shenandoah projects demonstrated what can be achieved when two organizations are aligned in technical expertise and delivery mindset.

We are proud to formalize our intention to pursue future opportunities together, bringing value to our customers throughout the offshore sector.

Mark Myhre, president of GATE Energy.

HHI continues to expand its services into low-carbon energy, with initiatives in offshore wind, small modular reactors and carbon capture projects. GATE Energy’s global experience, from the Americas to Asia, will allow it to accompany these improvements from planning to commissioning.

This memorandum of understanding represents the next step in a strong collaboration based on mutual respect, technical excellence and shared success.

Through flagship projects such as King’s Quay, Shenandoah and the current project, we have forged a collaborative framework that consistently generates superior results.

Together with GATE Energy, we are committed to driving the marine energy sector forward by providing integrated solutions that improve predictability and create lasting value for our customers around the world.

Jung-Ho Park, vice president of HHI.

The signed MOU covers everything from joint bidding to resource integration and collaborative planning. The companies will develop execution models adaptable to the needs of energy developers, with the goal of ensuring safer, more predictable and cost-effective operations at offshore complexes.
