Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a company with extensive experience in renewable energies, announced a strategic agreement with Envision Energy, a company specialized in smart energy solutions. This partnership aims to develop the H2 Cumbuco project, a plant for the production of green ammonia. green ammonia located in the port of Pecém, Brazil.
H2 Cumbuco Project: technology, scale and exports
The project envisages an electrolysis facility of up to 500 MW that will power an environmentally friendly ammonia plant. The energy for this process will come from renewable sources managed by artificial intelligence. The plant is designed to be an export node to Europe and Asia, as well as to supply Brazilian domestic demand in a context of increasing decarbonization.
FRV brings to the project its global expertise in solar energy and storage, with 3 GW of operational assets. Envision, recognized for developing the largest off-grid hydrogen and green largest off-grid hydrogen and green ammonia plant in China, contributes its fully integrated AI-basedEnvision, recognized for developing the largest off-grid hydrogen and green ammonia plant in China, contributes with its fully integrated AI-based energy platform. This synergy allows scaling a modular, replicable model aligned with international climate targets.

The H2 Cumbuco project is at an advanced stage of development. Environmental permits, land use rights and access to water have already been secured. Brazil, as host of COP30 and with abundant natural resources, seeks to position itself as a key supplier of alternative fuels and carbon-neutral energy solutions.
The two companies agree that the development of renewable hydrogen will renewable hydrogen is essential to accelerate the energy transition. Together, they expect the plant to start operations around 2030, consolidating a low-emission, efficient and exportable production model.
