European manufacturer Freen OÜ has launched the new Freen-H20 model, a horizontal axis wind turbine with 20 kW rated power, designed for rural and industrial environments requiring medium-scale energy solutions. This unit joins the company’s portfolio of turbines, expanding its offering for customers seeking reliability, adaptability and European regulatory compliance.
The new Freen-H20 wind generator is aimed at users with medium-sized energy needs, such as farms, manufacturing plants, solar-wind hybrid systems and community cooperatives. Its horizontal axis architecture allows for easy installation in both stand-alone and connected grids, and its modular lattice tower, with heights up to 36 meters, facilitates its adaptation to different topographies.
Industrial design and technology of the H20 wind turbine
Made in Estonia, the Freen-H20 complies with IEC 61400-2 for small wind turbines. small wind turbines and is ISO 9001, EN 1090-1 and ISO 3834-2 certified. The system includes an asynchronous generator with planetary gearing, redundant safety brakes and a passive yaw nacelle, allowing efficient alignment with the wind without the need for additional motors.
The blades, made of fiberglassThe blades, made of fiberglass, integrate a centrifugal brake system at the tips to control overspeed, complemented by an electromechanical emergency brake. This design allows safe operation without direct electronic intervention in extreme conditions.
Thanks to its modular architecture and the possibility of integration with solar systems solar or battery systems or battery systems, the Freen-H20 is ideal for community electrification projects, agricultural machinery supply or industrial microgrid support. It is available for order in Europe, with the option of turnkey packages including wind resource assessments and site planning.
