El gran logro de concentrado de oro por Akobo Minerals

Akobo Minerals has successfully produced its first gold concentrate at its processing plant in Segele, Ethiopia. This breakthrough marks the company’s journey towards full production, following a start-up period to validate the plant’s operability under real-life conditions.

The great achievement of gold concentrate at Segele

The mining company Akobo Minerals has chosen to process low grade gold ore during this initial phase. This decision seeks to strengthen and optimize the plant’s capabilities before proceeding to the next phase and structuring the production of higher grade ore.

Currently, the deposit has an inferred and indicated mineral resource of 68,000 ounces, and an impressive yield of 22.7 grams per tonne. Moreover, the plant is designed to produce up to 4,000 ounces of gold per month, with an expected recovery rate of 96%.

The modular design of the processing plant is innovative because it allows for future upgrades as the Segele field and other adjacent projects continue to develop. This flexibility ensures that the plant can adapt to complex operational needs.
