A few hours ago, the company Figure officially presented Figure 02, its new state-of-the-art humanoid robot, in a video . With a height of 5’6″ and a weight of 70 Kg, this robot is designed to integrate into various industries and solve work challenges, being able to perform complex manual tasks thanks to its optimized design and advanced intelligence.
This “evolution” of the Figure 01 has many features to highlight. One of them is that it stands out for its ability to lift loads of up to 20 kg and adapt to different work environments. Equipped with cameras, sensors and artificial intelligence artificial intelligenceThe Figure 01 can operate autonomously, interact with its environment and collaborate with humans in tasks ranging from assembly to handling delicate objects.

Figure 02 is not just any humanoid robot
This autonomous robot features a streamlined design and refined components that enhance its functionality. Unlike its previous versionUnlike its previous version, its structure includes a matte black finish that gives it a modern (and authoritative) look and all cables are integrated inside its chassis to protect them from external damage.
Its battery was also improved thanks to its redesign. It now provides 50% more capacity than its predecessor, allowing it to operate longer in demanding environments.
Another remarkable aspect of Figure 02 is the ability to manipulate objects with near human-like precision. Its hands have 16 degrees of freedom, allowing it to grasp and manipulate a variety of objects with great dexterity. In addition, the integration of customized motors in its joints optimizes its performance and mobility, facilitating its adaptation to different industrial tasks.
Figure 02’s intelligence is enhanced by OpenAI’s support for the company, which has enabled the robot to improve its learning and adaptive capabilities. It is equipped with six RGB cameras and advanced perception systems, which enable it to process visual information and make decisions in real time. These features make it a humanoid robot highly autonomous robot, capable of performing complex tasks without human intervention.
Will Figure 02 replace human labor?
Figure aims to fill labor shortages with its new robot and seeks to improve safety in hazardous work environments. The robot can work in areas where human intervention is limited, reducing risks and increasing operational efficiency. In addition, its conversational capabilities and response to voice commands make it ideal for working in collaboration with humansfacilitating seamless integration into different sectors.
Importantly, the company has conducted tests in a variety of industrial environments, including the BMW production plant where Figure 01 works.
